When athletes get ready for a major competition, they spend extra time training. When baseball players prepare for a new season, they head to spring training. As a wellness educator, I train professional women on finding the balance they need in life.

Often we just don’t know what to do next, and caring for ourselves seems to fall on the backburner. After all, we have to be so many things for so many different people; we just don’t have time for ourselves, do we?

What we should be telling ourselves is that we don’t have time not to have time for ourselves. Our bodies and minds will fall apart if we don’t tend to them, but sometimes it’s hard to figure out what we need. Priorities and goals seem like they just add to the stresses of life, but actually they serve to keep us on track for our ultimate purpose.

When we learn the priorities of all parts of our lives and set goals in every area, we begin to accelerate our lives because we have total harmony. Exercise, nutrition, balance, sleep, and stress reduction are all parts of total harmony, and if we neglect just one of these areas, then everything tilt out of balance. We have to learn how to care for our bodies as a whole in order to find harmony in life.

My wellness workshops teach important skills that just aren’t taught in society today. We all learn how to do our jobs well, but few people will teach us how to live our lives well. I aim to do just that by helping you have it all: the career, the family, and everything else you can imagine, in spite of the fact that there are only 24 hours in a day.
